Over the years, my family and I have really enjoyed the Silver Moon Diner, as have most other patrons (the place was always very busy and yet was smoothly run). This past week was different. The dessert area looked as good as ever (they've always been known for there terrific desserts) ... but hardly anyone was there. Of the 4 of us at our table, only one of us was pleased with our dinner (and that was a Greek meal). Maybe we caught them on a bad day ... it just didn't feel as good as it used to feel!

Very surprised about the food here. Crab cakes were amazing. My husband had the seafood platter, grilled. Excellent! Service was great. Very busy diner, expect a wait.. but worth it..

The food was hot and delicious. Service was pretty good too. I had the cream of crab soup, fried catfish, mashed potatoes and green beans. The soup and fish were exceptional! The sides were decent too. My husband had a chicken quesadilla loaded with meat and fries, which all looked good that he enjoyed. My daughter had the kid one egg meal and added bacon which she enjoyed as well. We will go again.

Went there for lunch today. We ordered the lunch special Crab cake , Mac&cheese with cream of cram soup. While eating the crab soup waiter asked if we wanted some dinner rolls I said sure, dip bthe rolls in the soup, waiter came back out later with 4 slices of Italian bread that had been microwaved The crab cake sounded delicious but executed poorly. Crab cake inside was cold. Had been precooked then reheated. They took it back and brought out either the same one just nuked longer or another one that had been microwaved. The crab cake was served in the Mac & cheese and it was chewy. Sent it back and told them we are not eating there anymore. The only good thing that came out was they did remove the specials off the bill. They need a Chef Ramsey intervention.

$1.00 for an extra lemon slice? Stay away from the crab stuffed scallops! Better slide over to a double T which is what this place is patterned after. I won't be back!
